The stage is set for Super Bowl LVII between the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles and the AFC top seed in the Kansas City Chiefs. This marks the first time both seeds will face off in the big game since the Eagles' last Super Bowl appearance in 2017.
Being the top two teams in the NFL hasn't come without questions from the mainstream media, as both teams come with their concerns.
Starting with Philadelphia, who many have questioned how battle-tested this unit truly is. After coasting to the NFC's top seed and riding an even lighter playoff schedule, many question if Philly can handle a unit as accomplished as Kansas City.
For the Eagles, this will undoubtedly be their biggest test of the season, as their 2022 schedule consisted of many of the league's weakest offenses.
On the back of MVP finalist Jalen Hurts and the NFL's top defense, the birds should be up for the test.
As for Kansas City, their 3rd trip to the Super Bowl in the last four years has come with some controversy. The Chiefs have been riddled with injuries throughout the 2022 NFL playoffs, none bigger than the ankle injury to star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Although Mahomes seems to be toughing out his high ankle sprain, Kansas City could be without 3 of their biggest playmakers in Super Bowl 57 with players like Juju Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney and Mecole Hardman's game status is all in question.
Mahomes and company were able to hold up throughout the AFC championship game vs. Cincinnati but questions remain about how limited this unit will be on Sunday.
In what has been one of the strangest NFL seasons in recent memory, it is only fitting to get the most likely Super Bowl matchup with endless questions regarding each team.
Given the circumstances, having two MVP finalists square up on the NFL's biggest stage should be worthwhile. With both teams looking to silence the doubters, Super Bowl 57 is set to be a fantastic matchup.
